Spaces of Peace

Est 2020

Hi I’m Emily! I’m a 26 year old multimedia artist from Michigan. I hand-make and design everything on Spaces of Peace. My favorite forms of art to create are writing, singing, wire wrapping, jewelry making, painting, creating candles and dancing. I dance with props like hula hoop and levitation wand.

I’ve always loved making art of all kinds, and finally in 2020 I got the courage to share my art with the world through Spaces of Peace. The confidence in part came out of necessity- in my life at the time I was gearing up to graduate, and I just wasn’t passionate about what I was doing anymore. The coronavirus pandemic began around this time as well, which meant finding a traditional job right after graduation was not really an option anymore. So I took some of my saved up money and decided to invest in myself. Being able to financially sustain myself through artistic creation is absolutely my dream.

It started as making wire wrapped crystal jewelry and quickly evolve to including soy wax candles, wax melts, earrings, keychains, painted art, clay art, and more. I wanted spaces to be able to create whatever I’m called to rather than just stick to one medium.

As far as future plans, my goals for Spaces of Peace are around ideas like community and education. I want to be involved positively in my community, raise money and awareness for causes I believe in, to share what I know and learn from others. I believe that the process of creation is just as important as the art itself and can be healing. If you ever have questions about how I make anything or where I get supplies, email me!
